What do you like to do in your free time? Were there any subjects at school that were easy for you? Talk to your family, friends and acquaintances and ask them what your strengths are. You might be surprised! You can take an online test (e.g. www.bic.at) or download an app that asks you questions about your hobbies and interests and then makes career suggestions, such as the Jobsy app: www.jopsy.at.
The motto: What you enjoy, you do well!
You know many professions from your everyday life, from your family and friends. But many more professions you have probably never come across before. Look around and keep your eyes open. Visit career information days or fairs. At sprungbrett, you can take part in excursions to companies that offer training for different apprenticeships.
The best way to find out which job suits you is to try it out. Do an internship in your desired occupation - we will support you in your search. Or come to the sprungbrett workshops, work with different materials such as wood, metal, plaster, fabrics, try your hand at a PC and get feedback from our counsellors!
Often there are several jobs that suit you. If you have a plan B or C in addition to your plan A, your chances of finding a good apprenticeship or training will increase!
